"Heart of the City" Art Show

I was invited to create a poster for an alumnae art show at San Diego City College, my design school alma mater. The show’s theme—“Heart of the City”—brought up nostalgic feelings about my years in design school—and the tacos—I’d discovered in San Diego. I ate my first authentic fish taco from a food truck in the Gaslamp Quater one night and it became ritual. I’d prep my student design work all night, then hit up the taco truck in early morning hours on my way to class for critique.

Old-school tools like protractors, T-squares and Schaedler rulers were paramount implements as a design student.
