Nespresso App

In my mid-20's, I lived to San Francisco’s Italian North Beach neighborhood, three blocks from 65-year-old renowned espresso house Caffe Trieste. Parking in North Beach has only gotten harder in recent years, so I’ve settled for an at-home espresso machine. Nespresso’s Lattissima Pro uses pre-filled capsules that can only be purchased at brick-and-mortar Nespresso boutiques (just two locations are still open in the Bay Area), on the Nespresso website, or via their app.

Having repeatedly struggled through a less than delightful user experience with the Nespresso app, I wanted to investigate whether other users might encounter similar frustrations that could be solved through thoughtful UX/UI design.
